PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric driver causing no malfunction due to wear of a part, dispensing with adjustment due to a variation in parts, and capable of supporting a bit holder by a double holding type. SOLUTION: This electric driver comprises a clutch mechanism 45 operating so as to interrupt a power transmission from an electric motor 30 to the bit holder 47 when a tightening torque reaches a specified value and a detection means of brake stopping the rotation of an electric motor 1 by detecting the moved position of a movable side member 54 moved pressingly when the driver becomes an unrotatable condition when the tightening torque in the clutch mechanism 45 reaches the specified value. The brake detection means comprises a detecting object body 57 for brake installed on the movable side member 54 and position detection element 52 for brake outputting a brake signal by detecting with no-contact, the detecting object body 57 for brake opposed thereto when the clutch mechanism 45 is operated.
