PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition capable of reducing the arteriosclerotic factor in blood when taken as daily edible oil and fat and, accordingly, enabling the prevention of arteriosclerosis and various other adult diseases. SOLUTION: The objective oil and fat composition contains >=35 wt.% diacylglycerol wherein the constituent fatty acid of the diacylglycerol satisfies the formula (amount of cis-type unsaturated fatty acid)/(amount of saturated fatty acid + amount of trans-type unsaturated fatty acid)>=6. The composition preferably contains a phytosterol in an amount of >=0.05 wt.%. |
