FLAME RETARDANT POLYOLEFIN RESIN COMPOSITION, ITS PRODUCTION AND FLAME RETARDANT CABLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant polyolefin resin composition having excellent moldability, flame-retardancy and mechanical strength, its production process and a flame-retardant cable covered with the composition. SOLUTION: The objective flame-retardant polyolefin resin composition is composed of (A) 100 pts.wt. of a polyolefin resin, (B) 30-200 pts.wt. of a hydrated metal compound powder and (C) 0.01-50 pts.wt. of a branched organopolysiloxane expressed by an average unit formula RaSiO(4 a)/2 (R is an alkyl or hydroxyl; the content of the hydroxyl group in one molecule is 2.0-10.0 wt.%; (a) is 0.75-2.5) and having a siloxane unit expressed at least by formula RSiO3/2 (R is same as defined above).
