PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-inflammable yarn having improved abrasion resistance without deteriorating the good non-inflammable property, flexibility, touch and so on of the yarn, to provide a non-inflammable fabric using the non-inflammable yarns, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This non-inflammable yarn is produced by impregnating a folded yarn comprising at least one kind of heat-resistant filaments and at least one kind of abrasion resistant fibers with a non-calcined fluororesin and then calcining the treated yarn. A non-inflammable fabric is produced from the non-inflammable yarns. In the process for producing the non-inflammable yarn, a tension applied to the heat-resistant filaments is larger than a tension applied to the abrasion-resistant fibers, when the abrasion-resistant fibers are folded about the heat-resistant filaments, and the rate of the abrasion-resistant fibers disposed in the outer peripheral portion of the folded yarn is larger than the rate of the heat-resistant fibers. |
