TREATMENT OF FIBER PRODUCT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve decontaminating property of a fiber product in being washed by imparting to the fiber product a composition containing a substance where a surface coverage and desorbability to cotton and a polar particle- dispersing factor have respectively specific ranges of values. SOLUTION: A processing composition is prepared by including 0.05-80 wt.% (preferably 0.5-30 wt.%) of a substance having 3-100% surface coverage and 50-100% desorbability to cotton and 0.5-20 polar particle (originated in Kanuma red soil)-dispersing factor which is e.g. a synthetic polymeric compound having at least one vinyl skeleton, a natural polymeric compound such as polysaccharide or a silicone-based compound such as polydimethylsiloxane oil and 0.001-20 wt.% (preferably 0.001-5 wt.%) of a nonionic surfactant and/or an anionic surfactant. A fiber product is impregnated with an aqueous solution of the above composition in such a way that 0.1-5 g of the above substance adheres to 100 g of the fiber product.
