PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the generation of failure caused by an foreign matter and generated in a coating and drying step and improve the properties as an optical film when forming a transparent resin layer on a transparent resin film. SOLUTION: A composition for forming a transparent resin layer on a transparent resin film comprises at least a resin capable of forming the transparent resin layer on the transparent resin film, and a solvent capable of dissolving the resin, and the solvent is the one containing >=5 wt.% glycol ethers having 120-180 deg.C boiling point under 1 atm and <=17 mmHg vapor pressure at 20 deg.C, or esters having 120-180 deg.C boiling point under 1 atm and <=7 mmHg vapor pressure.
