PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition hardly causing reduction of the activities of a specific superoxide dismutase formed into a lecithin during a long term preservation, capable of providing good properties in the case of freeze-drying, and useful for the therapy of motoneuron disease or ulcerative gastrointestinal damage by making the composition include a specific superoxide dismutase formed into a lecithin, and sucrose. SOLUTION: This medicinal composition contains (A) a superoxide dismutase formed into a lecithin represented by the formula SOD'(Q-B)m (SOD' is a residue of superoxide dismustase; Q is a chemical cross link; B is a residue after removing H atom of a hydroxy group from a lysolecthin having the hydroxy group at 2-position of glycerol; m is an average number of bonds of the lysolecithin based on one molecule of superxide dimustase, and a positive number of >=1), and (B) sucrose. The objective composition has properties such as the one capable of being dissolved when water for injection is added to the freeze-dried product of the composition, and containing no recognizable undissolved foreign matter.
