PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a complex fungicide having high sterilization rate and yet a high germicidal effect even in a small amount of supported silver by making the fungicide include a silver ion-containing specific phosphate compound and a calcium phosphate. SOLUTION: This fungicide comprises (A) a phosphate compound of the formula AgaAbMc(PO4)d.nH2O [A is an alkali (alkaline earth) metal ion, H ion or ammonium ion; M is a tetravalent metal ion; n is >=0, preferably 0<=n<=6; (a) and b are each a positive number; c and d are c=2 and d=3 when a+mb=1 and c=1 and d=2 when a+mb=2; m is valence of M] such as Ag0.005Li0.995 Zr2(PO4)3, Ag0.15Ca0.10H0.75Zr2(PO4)3.1. 2H2O, etc., (B) a calcium phosphate such as hydroxyapatite, etc., tribasic calcium phosphate, etc. In the composition, the formulating ratio of the component A to the component B is preferably about 2-40 wt.%.
