PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep a liquid ejecting surface of a recording head clean by providing a liquid storage part, formed facing a liquid ejecting opening surface and divided into a plurality of small chambers. SOLUTION: A liquid receiving part H2004 as a liquid storage part is formed by projecting at the substantially center of an ejection opening surface cover pat H2003 sandwiched between a terminal cover part H2001 and a bent surface part H2002. The outer wall of the liquid receiving part H2004 is formed in a substantially rectangular shape by a wall of a predetermined thickness protruded toward the recording element substrate H1100 side. The inside of the liquid receiving part H2004 is divided into a plurality of small chambers by a lattice- like rib H2004 having the same height as the outer wall. The size of each small chamber is, for example, about 0.5-1.0 mm×0.5-2.0 mm. In a protection member H2000, an ink IK leaked from the recording element substrate H1100 is stored in each small chamber of the liquid receiving part H2004 of the ejection opening surface cover part H2003 as an ink IK' of a relatively small amount. According to the capillary force, there is no risk of outflow. |
