STUD-TYPE VIBRATION CONTROL DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stud-type vibration control device with high vibration control efficiency capable of bearing a large shearing force while satisfactorily suppressing the size of a bending moment to be born. SOLUTION: This vibration control device has the form of a stud 1 mounted between a pair of opposing beam members 3a and 3b. At least a part of the stud 1 is constituted of a history damping member for absorbing vibration energy inputted to a structure as history energy. The stud 1 is joined to one beam member 4a in such a way as to transfer an in-plane bending moment, and the stud 1 is joined to the other beam member 4a in such a way as not to transfer an in-plane bending moment substantially.
