PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sanitary protective pad having elasticity and deployment recovery characteristic, and resisting deformation and wrinkling when worn. SOLUTION: This sanitary protective pad includes a bottom layer 10, releasable paper 20, an absorbing cotton layer 30, a mesh frame 40, and a permeable layer 50. The mesh frame 40 having elasticity is positioned between the bottom layer 10 and the absorbing cotton layer 30. Slender ribbed plates 41 are installed symmetrically inside the annular peripheral surface of the mesh frame 40. The elastic mesh frame 40 is molded as it is pressed so that the permeable layer 50 made of a nonwoven fabric located on the upper surface of the frame 40 is closely adhered thereto. Then the base of the absorbing cotton layer 30 composed chiefly of pulp will not loosen even after adsorbing secretions, and the sanitary protective pad will not be deformed nor twisted.
