PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food grinder that can be used similarly both in ordinary grinding and grinding comparatively light food into fine grain sizes in a small quantity. SOLUTION: In the food grinder, the first container provided with the first grinding blade, the second container 27 provided with the second grinding blade 34 are made exclusively detachable to the mounting portion 2 of the body 1. The grinding chamber 36 of the second container 27 is lower than the radius of gyration of the second crushing blade 34, a spacer 38 is provided in the upper portion of the second container 27, and when mounted to the body 1, the upper end of the first container and the upper end 38a of the spacer 38 become almost equal in height, and a lid 20 becomes detachable to the first container and the spacer 38. When the switch operating section 25 of the lid 20 is pressed, as an operating rod 9 in a projection 3 closes a driving switch 7 and drives an electric motor 4, rotating the first crushing blade or the second crushing blade 34, the first container and the second container 27 can be used similarly for grinding food.
