PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep cooked rice hot so that the cooked rice is always ready to be served in good taste for a long time even if a long-time heat reserving function is set after reheating by a heater is executed once after a heat reserving operation is started, in a rice cooker provided with the long-time heat reserving function besides a normal heat reserving function. SOLUTION: When a long-time heat reserving switch 17 is turned on (S112) within about four hours after a reheating operation is started, a reheating operation from a second time onward is executed about every four hours after the first-time reheating operation. When the long-time heat reserving switch 17 is turned on after about four hours after the first-time reheating operation is started, the second-time reheating operation is started immediately and a reheating operation from a third time onward is executed about every four hours after the second time reheating operation (S113-S118).
