PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheelchair which allows an occupant to assume a comfortable seated attitude during travel and to stand up by straddling across a portion of a seat part when moving to a bed. SOLUTION: The seat part 10 of this wheelchair C1 is supported against a lifting plate 31 which can be raised and lowered by a lifting drive. The seat part 10 is separated into three parts, i.e., a center seat part 11 and side seat parts 12, with the side seat parts 12 attached to the lifting plate 31 so as to be capable of moving backward relative to the center seat part 11. The lifting plate 31 is formed to support the connecting frame parts 5 of the right and left side frame parts 3, to raise armrest parts 27 and footrests 25 as the seat part 10 rises.
