PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve machining efficiency by disposing a grinding head movably in a vertical direction by a cutting-moving driving means, to be faced to a table moving area of a high speed reversing table unit. SOLUTION: While a workpiece fixed to a table 41 of a high speed reversing table 40 is fed by the reciprocating motion of the table 41 driven by a table driving motor, the workpiece is cut in by the descent of a grinding head 20 driven by a head elevating motor, and ground by a grinding wheel 25 rotatory- driven by a grinding wheel rotating motor. In a dressing mechanism 30, a rotary dresser 32 rotatory-driven by a dresser rotatory-driving motor 33 is moved close to and pressed to the grinding wheel 25 by a dresser approaching/ separating moving motor 34 to perform dressing every specified grinding quantity of the grinding wheel 25. In the high speed reversing table 40, the table 41 is reciprocated at high speed to increase the grinding removal quantity within unit time.
