PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain scattering of an ink by sucking and taking in a liquid adhered on the inner surface of a cap of a liquid storage container at the time of opening the same. SOLUTION: At the time of opening a cap 14 from a liquid storage container 10, a part of an ink adheres on the liquid storage container 10 side and the surface of a projection 19 inside the cap 14 due to the surface tension. Thereafter, a spring force of a buffer room 16 member is opened so that the volume of the buffer room 16 is increased. As a result, an ink adhered on the projection 19 surface is sucked from a suction opening 17 provided in the surface center of the projection 19 via a communication path extending from the buffer room 16. The capillary force of the suction opening 17 is reinforced by the suction pressure of the buffer room 16, and the capillary force of a part of the buffer part side is weakened by the suction pressure. Thereby, a meniscus is formed before the buffer room at the time of finishing the ink suction in the vicinity of the suction opening 17 so as to stop the suction operation. In this case, the suction force of the buffer part is maintained. |
