PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a cauterization treatment to be carried out simply by attaching to the tip of an endoscope a hood having a cauterization electrode thereon. SOLUTION: This cauterization apparatus for an endoscope includes: a high frequency electrode 36 disposed at the tip of the endoscope 1 and made to carry a high-frequency current; a hood 32 freely removably attached to the tip of the endoscope 1; and a cauterization electrode 37 disposed on the hood 32 and contacted with tissue to cauterize the tissue. The cauterization electrode 37 is electrically connected to the high frequency electrode 36 when the hood 32 is attached to the tip of the endoscope 1. |
