PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate looseness, and to reduce weight in opening/closing a sliding door by longitudinally arranging a pair of swing preventive pieces curv ing outward and having a restoring force between a pair of left/right installing columns, and respectively contacting a part of the swing preventive pieces with both side walls of a groove on the door panel lower end. SOLUTION: A pair of left/right cylindrical installing columns 2, 2 are connected by a connecting piece 3, and a pair of left/right swing preventive pieces 4, 4 curving outward and having the restoring force are arranged between these installing columns 2, 2. A door panel for forming a groove on the lower end is put in a vertical state, and a wood screw is inserted into screw inserting holes of the installing columns 2, 2 of this swing preventive tool 1 in a proper place of a floor surface in a position fitted to the lower end groove to be fixed to the floor surface to complete installation. When a sliding door laterally moves by being suspended by a runner, both side walls of the groove on the door panel lower end contact with contact parts 41, 41 of the swing preventive pieces 4, 4 of the swing preventive tool 1 so that the door panel can be moved without looseness only by slightly deforming the swing preventive pieces 4, 4 even if force is longitudinally applied at moving time.
