PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening and closing device for a dome roof in an outdoor structure capable of preventing the occurrence of oscillation caused by the keeping of heat obstructing an observation as well as no area as the blind spot in an observation. SOLUTION: This opening and closing device for a dome roof is constituted of dome roof pieces divided into two parts with the summit of the dome roof covering an outdoor structure 1 having an opened upper part with the center, the basic end circumferential edge sections of the dome roof pieces 3, operating levers 6 and 7 pivotally mounting both ends of them on bas sections 4a and 5a and base sections 4b and 5b arranged on the circumferential edge section of the outdoor structure 1 in a rotatable manner in correspondence with the basic end circumferential edge sections of them and an opening and closing mechanism of a dome inverted by interlocking the operating levers 6 and 7 with each other. In a state to open the dome roof, in order to make such a state as the upper part of the structure is completely opened with the summit of the dome roof as the center, for example, when the structure is used for an astronomical observation or the like, there is no area as the blind part in the observation, and in order that the upper part of the structure can be completely opened, the occurrence of oscillation caused by the keeping of heat can be prevented.
