PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate an uncomfortable feeling in use and influence on an appearance and to carry out manufacture without depending on any special process or device by applying a dimension stability increasing means for an upper constituting fabric to an area having a fixed width from the root between fingers in the upper to the finger root parts on both sides. SOLUTION: In a fixed-width area from a root A between fingers in an upper 1 to the vicinities of finger root parts B on both sides, a material 3 with good dimension stability is arranged between a front fabric 1A and a back fabric 1B and integrated by sewing so as to be used as a means for increasing dimension stability of the fabric constituting the upper 1. The fixed-width area from the root A between fingers to the vicinities of the finger root parts B on both sides is formed into a band type area extending with a width of several centimeters or more from the root A between fingers to the finger root parts B on both sides desirably for the purpose of suppressing the movement of a foot. Alternatively, the area may be extended further from the finger root parts B to the shank part side (heel side) so as to be formed into a wing-shaped area in the view from the upper side.
