PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a resistance value of a heating resistor in a constant level for a long time. SOLUTION: In terms of this thermal head, multiple heating resistors and a driver IC 4 having a logic circuit for selectively activating the heating resistors provided on its lower face are mounted on a substrate 1 and the driver IC 4 is covered with sealing materials 6a, 6b. While a recording medium M contacted to a part of the faces of the sealing materials 6a, 6b is conveyed to a portion on the heating resistors, the heating resistors are selectively activated, thereby performing printing. The sealing material 6b at the side of the surface is formed from a conductive resin 6b having a conductivity in a range from 1.0×105Ω.cm to 1.0×108Ω.cm and the conductive resin 6b is grounded to the ground voltage GND through the driver IC 4.
