The panel (1) has a core made of a wooden material such as medium density fiberboard (MDF) or high density fiberboard (HDF) or a mixture of wood and plastic. A pattern is applied on a visible side of the panel. A chamfer (8) is provided at a side edge of the visible side. The chamfer exhibits specific length and runs in a specified angle. The angle of one of the chamfers is varied over the length.
