PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press forming method for granular carbon in which the carbon is captured by using pulp fibers as a binder, enabling the carbon easily incorporated and installed to other member and capable of sufficiently exhibiting functions such as humidity controlling, heat insulating, insect controlling, deodorizing, emitting anions, shielding against to electromagnetic wave or the like. SOLUTION: In this method the granular carbon is mixed and entwined with pulp fibers as the binder and pressed to form a core material 23 having carbon manifesting fixed strength and thickness.
