PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for providing electric congelation printed matters with water resistance not generating defective transfer and the like as the electric congelation printed matters and also provide a coated paper of superior water resistance for electric congelation printing. SOLUTION: An aqueous ink is gelatinized electrically on an electric congelation printer and an image is formed thereon, and then a coated paper with a coated layer composed of a pigment and a bonding agent as main components and formed on a base paper is brought into contact with an ink image to transfer the ink image on the surface of the coated layer and obtain the ink image thereon for providing electric congelation printed matters, and a water-resistant agent is added (contained or coated) at least onto one site out of the interior of the coated layer, the surface of the coated layer, the inside of the aqueous ink and the surface of the coated layer in a process for providing the electric congelation printed matters with water resistance, and a coated paper for the electric congelation printing is provided by making an epoxy water-resistant agent and/or a polyvalent metal compound water-resistant agent permeate the coated layer or on the surface of the coated layer. |
