SOLUTION: This device is comprised of a wire 10 to be inserted into and taken out of a catheter and a separable flexible coil 28 connected to the tip of the wire 10. The wire 10 is insulated all over except for a selected part to be operated as the electrolytic tip part, and the coil 28 is electrically insulated in the blood under the influence of the electrolysis. When an electric current is fed to the coil 28, only the non-insulated part at the tip of the wire 10 is efficiently electrolyzed and the coil 28 is separated to be left in the blood. Then a thrombus is formed around the coil 28.
