PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remarkably reduce the consumption of ammonia while satisfying the restriction imposed to all of group by using optimization processing. SOLUTION: In the method for controlling denitration, a parameter/condition data setting step S1 for setting the data of characteristic/restriction condition and the like of each denitration process, a NOx distribution processing step S2 of each denitration process for deciding NOx distributing ratio of each denitration process by executing the optimizing arithmetic operation for minimizing evaluation function while satisfying the restriction condition by using the square of ammonia usage obtained from the set characteristic data as evaluation function and by using NOx discharge amount regulation value data of all of group denitration process as restriction condition and a set value calculation operation step S3 for calculating and outputting a set value for controlling each denitration process based on the obtained NOx distributing ratio are provided.
