摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve stop position accuracy without reducing rolling efficiency by starting speed reduction at different timing in accordance with the difference in control response delay between circumferential speed of a mill roll and that of a table roller. SOLUTION: By means of transporting tables arranged before and after a mill, a material to be rolled is repeatedly reverse-rolled by moving it back and forth. Remaining length on the inlet side of the steel is measured, and the remaining length on the deceleration start inlet side is decided in consideration of the response delay of the circumferential speed of the table roller, and when the measured value becomes this remaining length, only the circumferential speed of the table roller on the delivery side is reduced. After a given time, the circumferential speed of the mill roll is decreased. When the steel kicks out the mill, the circumferential speed of the mill becomes the mill kick-out speed (Vx) and the circumferential speed of the table roller becomes table kick- out speed (VXTb), and both are decreased to the specified kick-out speed. The speed error at kick-out is decreased, the stop position accuracy is improved, and the time required for the bite of the next pass is reduced.</p>
