PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a platen capable of being formed into a predetermined shape at a low cost and a pressure-sensitive printer equipped with the platen. SOLUTION: The platen 40 of a pressure-sensitive printer has a main body part 41 having a cylindrical peripheral surface and almost truncated cone-shaped taper parts 44, 45 continuously extended from the main body part 41 in the extending direction of an axial line P at least on the side of one ends of the main body part 41 so as to be opposed to the end part 2d in the lateral direction of paper and becoming fine as separated from the main body part 41.
