PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve wear resistance of a tool, brought into contact with a material to be ground and relatively slid, against a material to be ground and lubricity. SOLUTION: This tool is constituted such that a material 1 to be ground formed in a circular shape in cross section is placed on and supported by a blade 2 and the outer peripheral surface of the material 1 to be ground is nipped from both sides by a grinding wheel and regulation wheels 3 and 4, rotated in the same direction as each other. By pressing the material 1 to be ground as the finding wheel 3 is rotated, grinding is executed on its outer peripheral surface as the material 1 to be ground is rotated. The upper surface 7 of the blade 2 consisting of a segment 6 formed of cemented carbide is covered by a covering layer 8, and the covering layer 8 is fixed at a metallic plating phase 9 in a state that diamond cluster 10 is dispersed.
