PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stowable bed which facilitates the storage and takeout of articles even while a mattress is laid thereon, and which can be reclined. SOLUTION: This stowable bed has a storage space A (storage space) formed of side panels 12, 13, a headboard 14, a footboard 15 and a bottom board 16. A head side top board 19 which functions also as the lid of the storage space A therebelow and a foot side top board 21 which functions also to form a bed surface are freely rotatably provided near the longitudinal center of the bed, and are opened respectively at a head side end and a foot side end. A stopper mechanism for supporting either the head side top board 19 or the foot side top board 21 in an open state is freely removably provided on the bed.
