PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the vibration and eccentricity at the intermediate part of a boring bar by providing the support means of the boring bar newly and machine with higher accuracy, even a thin and long hole. SOLUTION: This table type horizontal boring machine is provided with a main spindle 6 for supporting one end of a boring bar B and rotating in a horizontal state, a work placing stand 3 provided feed-movably along the axial direction of the boring bar B and a boring bar support device 9, installed on this work placing stand 3, for supporting near the other end of the boring bar B turnably and slidably in the axial direction and for moving along the axial direction of the boring bar B along with the feed-movement of the work placing stand 3.
