PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently and rapidly dry garbage by communicating an inside air circulation means for circulating air inside a drying vessel with one passage of a cross-flow heat exchanger, another passage of which is communicated with a gas discharge cylinder and a deodorizing catalyst, and circulating the air inside the drying vessel while heating to elevate the temp. SOLUTION: A burner part 2, which is adjacent to the drying vessel 1 for drying the garbage and generates the heat of combustion for drying, a malodorous air combustion chamber 3 for decomposing a malodorous component by heating, a deodorizing catalyst 4 for oxidizing and decomposing the malodorous component and the cross-flow heat exchanger 5 are respectively arranged. In such a case, the air circulation passage is formed by communicating the inside air circulation means 15 composed of a circulating air sucking port, a circulation fan 13, a circulation duct 14, a high temp. air duct 12 and a circulating air flow-in port 8 successively with the cross-flow heat exchanger 5 and the drying vessel 1. One of the passages in the cross-flow heat exchanger 5 is communicated respectively with the deodorizing catalyst 4 and the gas discharge cylinder 18 to heat the air circulating inside the air circulation passage 15 with the heat of combustion in the burner part 2 to elevate the temp.
