PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote the monitoring of a tire which cannot be unlawfully altered so that the tire is identified by preparing a pale-color rubber transfer label having a bar code identifier in any appropriate molded form to an unsaturated hydrocarbon rubber and attaching the label in a thermally transferable manner so that the label is thermally cured to come into contact physically with the rubber. SOLUTION: A crosslinkable transfer label with 0.013-0.13 cm thickness which is composed mainly of rubber and has a mirror image of a high resolution bar code printed, in a thermally transferable manner, on an unsaturated hydrocarbon rubber, attached to the surface of a smooth film. Next, the transfer label is crosslinked in such a manner that the Mooney torque is equivalent to at least 70% of the maximum torque of a chemical compound in a Mooney cure meter plot, and the mirror image of the bar code is transferred to the surface of the rubber transfer label to form the rubber transfer label thus crosslinked with the machine-readable bar code and the film on the top face of the bar code. After applying an adhesive, the film is attached to the surface of a green tire and cured while the green tire is pressed during curing to remove the film.
