PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a detergent composition which can efficiently wash out stains that are originated from food dirt and so on and are difficult to be removed by usual washing treatments. SOLUTION: This detergent composition comprises (a) 5 to 40 wt.% of a surfactant comprising a linear alkylbenzenesulfonate and/or an alkyl sulfate, (b) 0.3 to 7 wt.% of an acrylic acid-maleic acid copolymer having an acrylic acid:maleic acid molar ratio of 65:35 to 30:70 and a weight-average mol.wt. of 5,000 to 100,000, and (c) 0.02 to 5 wt.% of amylase.
