PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic dressing method and device for a honing stick capable of maintaining honing work of small work resistance and good sharpness stably at high efficiency. SOLUTION: A metal bond honing stick 2 for honing comprising an abrasive grain and a conductive connection part fixing this abrasive grain is fixed to a honing stick holder 6 for electrolytic dressing, an electrode 8 is opposed to a honing work surface with a prescribed space apart, prescribed voltage is applied across the honing stick and the electrode, simultaneously with supplying a conductive honing fluid between honing stick and the electrode, and electrolytic dressing of a metal bond part in a honing stick surface is performed.
