PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently transport a roll sheet material such as a laminated sheet. SOLUTION: A transporter 1 is provided with a pair of vertically movable support members 4, 4 arranged almost parallel so as to project almost horizontally. A pair of support belts 5, 5 are laid between the support members 4, 4. Both end parts of a core 2 wound with a sheet material 3 in a roll are respectively placed on the upper faces of the support belts 5, 5. The transporter 1 is moved, and the support members 4, 4 are vertically moved to transport the core 2 into a requested position.
