PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flow slowing gate, by which an overflow is slowed even in any overflow water depth and bubbles and noises can be suppressed. SOLUTION: The flow slowing gate is composed of an upstream-side gate 3 pivotally supporting the upstream-end 3a for vertically rocking the downstream-end side 3b and a downstream-side gate 4 pivotally supporting the downstream-end side 4b for vertically rocking the downstream-end side 3b of the upstream-side gate 3 by the abutting of the upstream-end side 4a against the rear of the upstream-side gate 3 and the vertical rocking of the upstream-end side 4a. The upstream-end side 4a of a downstream-side gate 4 is rocked vertically by installing an extensible and contractible water chamber 5 on the rear of the downstream-side gate 4. Sealing member 7-11 are mounted on the upstream-end side pivotal supporting section 3aa of the upstream-side gate 3, a transfer section from the downstream end of the upstream-side gate 3 to the downstream-side gate 4, the downstream-end side pivotal supporting section 4ba of the downstream-side gate 4 and both side sections of the upstream-side gate 3 and the downstream-side gate 4. Accordingly, a flow is slowed even in any overflow water depth, and the generation of bubbles and noises can be suppressed effectively while a leakage of water and the flowing-in of soil and sand can be prevented effectively.
