PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weather strip for seal hoods, and manufacturing method thereof which achieved lower price, lower weight, and a recycling property, compared to conventional types. SOLUTION: A weather strip 1 for seal hoods is made of thermoplastic elastomer, and its shape is characteristically provided with a mounting base part 1a to be mounted on a cowl panel of a carbody, and a hollow seal part 1b to be brought into pressure-contact with the undersurface of a bonnet. Concerning the cross-sectional form of the mounting face of the mounting base part 1a, projections 1d projected from a center part 1c are formed on both end parts of the center part 1c, and the center part 1c and the projections 1d on both end parts of the center part are connected each other by gently curved lines. |
