PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the sure and easy execution of the loading work of a printing medium with no rolling off from a printer main body at the loading of a label continuum (the printing medium) even under the state that a portable printer is installed on the body of an operator and the easy printing operation with the portable printer and other operation. SOLUTION: This cover opening and closing device is characterized by opening and closing an opening and closing cover 12 not vertically (or not perpendicularly) but laterally (or horizontally). A medium loading part 36 and the opening and closing cover 12 are provided on the perpendicularly lower side of a printer main body 11. In addition, the opening and closing shaft of the opening and closing cover 12 is provided parallel to the direction transferring from the medium charging part 36 of a printing medium to a printing part 15. At the same time, the feeding shaft of the printing medium in the medium loading part 36 is provided on the inner wall surface of the opening and closing cover 12. |
