In a cylinder drive, which is particularly suitable for combustion engines of motor vehicles and has at least one powered cam element (2) and a valve control cylinder member (10) which can be moved or rotated by the cam element (2), the cam element is rotationally mounted in a flexible enveloping element (4) which is connected to the valve control member (10) in the plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation of (8) of the cam element (2). The enveloping element (4) can be reversibly extended and is, in particular, elastically extendable to enable the realization of rotation-speed independent cylinder lift. |
