COATING MATERIAL COMPOSITION AND COATED PRODUCT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating material composition excellent in water resistance and capable of giving a coating film exhibiting sufficient abrasion resistance even under severe conditions, and a coated product. SOLUTION: This coating material composition comprises as essential ingredients a silicone resin and at least one filler, the silicone resin comprising a polymer of a component (A) and a component (B) below and the weight ratio of the component A to the component B (A/B) being in the range of 1-3 in terms of solids content. The component (A) is a tetrafunctional silicone resin obtained by partial hydrolysis of a tetrafunctional alkoxysilane in the presence of an acidic catalyst so as to give a weight-average mol.wt. of 500-3,000 in terms of polystyrene. The component (B) is a trifunctional or bifunctional alkoxysilane represented by the formula: R1(CH3)mSi(OR)3-m [wherein R1 is H2N(CH2)2NH(CH2)3, CH2OCH2O(CH2)3 or CH2=C(CH3)COO(CH2)3; and (m) is 0 or 1].
