PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous type epoxy grinding wheel eliminating deterioration of an essential feature of the epoxy grinding wheel to be more excellent in sharpness, and preventing generation of a scratch flaw in a grinding surface of a workpiece. SOLUTION: A foam-resin-made pore forming agent is constituted by containing poly methyl meta acrylate, so that a heat shrunk residue 20 is formed in a net state in the central part of a pore 16, and also, with reaction suppressed on epoxy resin, by preventing securing to an inner wall surface of the pore 16 as in the past, an essential feature of an epoxy grinding wheel 10, such that high durability is obtained even by an deep notch, is prevented from deteriorating, sharpness of this epoxy resin grinding wheel 10 is improved, and generation of a scratch flaw is suitably prevented.
