PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving bed type filter device shortened in a required time for a filter media drawing process, improved in cleaning effect and small- sized in the device. SOLUTION: In the moving bed type filter device provided with a filter media storage tank 15 connected to the top of a filter tank 10 with a filter media flow-in pipe 14, the end part of the filter media flow-in pipe 14 is opened upward above the bottom part of the filter media storage tank 15 and a water discharge pipe 26 is connected to the bottom of the filter media storage tank 15. The filter media storage tank is arranged along the side place of the filter tank.
