PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveying device improving sheet separating force from a photoconductor drum and conveying force. SOLUTION: In separating a sheet sucked to a photoconductor drum 100, by a separating charger 113, a separating duct 123 for sucking air from the separating charger 113 is shielded with a separating air shutter 125 according to the size of the sheet. The air suction force of the separating duct 123 can thereby be applied to the whole sheet to improve sheet separating force.
