PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the production/assembly cost of a filter device for cleaning air where a frame body is fitted to the peripheral part of a corrugated filter material. SOLUTION: The corrugated pitch (p) of the filter material 11 is matched with a prescribed pitch to control the shape dimension of the filter material 11 by disposing the projections 16 and 17 to be fitted to the recessed wave part (m) of the filter material peripheral part 11a at the inner surface of frame bodies 14 and 15 put at the corrugated plate like peripheral part 11a of the filter material 11 folded in triangle wave plate shape and fitting the projections 16 and 17 to each recessed wave part (m) of both surfaces of the peripheral part 11a. In such a way, the production/assembly cost of the filter device is easily lowered since the freely expandable corrugated plate like element is used as the filter material 11.
