PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deformed U-shaped drainage ditch improved to simplify construction work and economize material in the case of laying a U-shaped drainage ditch, making a detour around an existing construction such as an electric pole standing along a road. SOLUTION: As a U-shaped drainage ditch laid avoiding an existing construction such as an electric pole 3 installed on a U-shaped drainage ditch laying route, a deformed U-shaped drainage ditch 4 comprising split blocks 4I, 4II bisected in lateral symmetry at the center, with the outline presenting bent shape curved to make a detour around the outside of the electric pole 3, and upper covers 5I, 5II, are manufactured from concrete castings and laid to make a detour around the outside of the electric pole 3, in line with standard U-shaped drainage ditches 1 which are JIS standard products laid in front and in the rear.
