PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject silk fiber product that can develop the negative ion effect and deodorizing effect, as the excellent functional properties peculiar to silk fibers are retained, by allowing the silk fiber products, for example, silk yarns or the like to saturate with an aqueous suspension of a tourmaline- containing swelling agent and treating them under specific condition. SOLUTION: The silk fiber products, for example, yarn, knitted fabric, woven fabric, apparel or the like are saturated with an aqueous suspension of tourmaline fine particles-including swelling agent through the exhaustion method, padding, coating, printing or the like, the silk fiber product is dried and treated with humid head whereby the fixation of the tourmaline fine particles are promoted into the inside of the silk yarn of the products. Then, the products are subjected to the soaping and finished to give objective tourmaline-containing silk fiber products. In a preferred embodiment, a thermally reversible polymer is admixed to the swelling agent-containing aqueous suspension as a protective colloid. |
