PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fish body-holding device capable of eliminating the fear of the unexpected damage or injure to be provided to the fish body or an operator when treating the fish body, and facilitating the safe removal of a fishhook, the removal of scales, the preparation of a slice or an opened and dried fish, and the release of the fish body into water. SOLUTION: The upper and lower jaws of a fish body are enlarged from the inside by expanding two insertion rods 18, 20 (jaws) inserted into the mouth of the fish body. At least one of the insertion rods 18, 20 has wave-shaped teeth facing to the reverse direction of the insertion direction to strengthen the holding of the fish body, and handles 22, 24 for operating the insertion rods so as to be expanded have a locking device by using a ratchet structure to prevent the insertion rods 18 20 from being closed even if the hand releases the handle.
