A magnetron cathode assembly relates to microwave frequency devices and may be used at design and developing of magnetron type generators. The cathode assembly consists of secondary-emission cylindrical bushings located in turn at the same axis, and auto-emission flat discs insulated one from another and made with possibility to apply voltage between them, which provides maximum secondary-emission factor for the used material. A galvanic separation of secondary-emission and auto-emission cathodes allows electrons which escaped from auto-emission cathode to have kinetic energy storage necessary for initiation of secondary-emission multiplication. The proposed magnetron cathode assembly provides stable generating a volume charge, which provides stable start of a device.
