The brassiere has its cups (2), at least, made from an open mesh fabric (1) of the type used in net curtains, pre-formed to the appropriate shape and interlaced with a series of thicker threads (3) in motifs or designs. The thicker threads reinforce the cups, and some of them (4) are carried across from one side to the other to provide improved consistency and mechanical strength without the need for crossing seams.
